About
Founded in 2020, Out There Vans is a family-owned and operated custom van conversion company and online components retailer based in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Our mission is simple: to help you build the perfect mobile basecamp. Whether you are looking for a full custom conversion, need help installing a major component, or are hunting for the perfect parts to finish your own DIY build, we have the vetted gear and experience to get you out on the road.
We offer two signature van layouts for Transit, Sprinter, and ProMaster vans: the Gateway and the Monument. Choose the base layout that best suits your needs, and then handpick the upgrades and finishes that fit your unique style of travel.
The Gateway Series: The Modular Layout that Adapts to Your Travel Plans
Why Choose the Gateway Series:
- The L-Track Modular Advantage: Built on a flexible L-Track ecosystem, the Gateways allows you to easily shift cabinets, scale up storage, and let your van grow with you as you explore.
- Removable Sleeping & Storage Systems: Features a massive 68" x 75" bed that fully removes in minutes. Raise or lower the bed frame to instantly adapt the layout to your changing accessibility and cargo needs.
- All-Electric Off-Grid Power: Powered by an EcoFlow 48V system, this powerhouse off-grid electrical setup simultaneously handles your induction cooktop, active ventilation fans, upright fridge, and cabin lighting.

The Monument Series: Our Cozy, Built-In Floor Plan
Why Choose the Monument Series:
- The Optimized Layout: We have perfected this van layout over years of building vans and life on the road. It features built-in upper and lower cabinetry, a compact kitchenette, ample seating, and a fixed bed platform with a spacious garage storage area underneath.
- Who It's For: The Monument is the perfect layout for you if you prefer a built-in, cozy design over the modularity of our Gateway Series. The Monument Series delivers a handcrafted, move-in-ready layout that feels just like home on wheels.
