Adventure Travel Van

1999 Ford Econoline turned ultimate adventure travel van.

I took a month long cross country trip in it last August. And wouldn't hesitate to leave again tomorrow. Has been on lots of other weekend and week long adventures. So everything is well tested and working perfectly. Engine and transmission are leak free and in excellent condition.

Here's a basic overview.

Chassis & Drivetrain & Exterior:

• 5.4L V8 and Automatic transmission
• Entire engine cooling system has been replaced. Radiator, water pump, heater core, steel coolant lines, etc.
• New spark plugs, coil packs, intake manifold gaskets, belts and other misc. tune up/maintenance items.
• All suspension components have been rebuilt or replaced. Upgraded/lifted with F350 coil springs and HD rear leaf springs.
• Factory limited slip rear differential
• 31x10.50 all terrain tires on 15" black powder coated aluminum wheels
• Custom fabricated steel tube front bumper with Smittybilt 9,500lb. winch
• Custom fabricated steel tube rear bumper
• Custom fabricated side ladder for roof access
• Custom fabricated roof rack with shovel, axe and traction board mounts. Has tie down hooks for canoe, kayak, etc.
• LED light bar on front bumper and LED exterior camp lights on roof rack.
• Body has mid-rise fiberglass top. Recently repainted due to peeling clear coat (pretty usual problem)
• Undercoated/rock guard coated on rocker panels and over wheel wells.
• Body and chassis are in excellent rust free condition. Body has a few dents/dings that you'd expect. Hood paint is faded, I can correct if needed.

Interior has a full custom build out with too much to list:

• Driver & Passenger swivel seats
• Sink with electric water pump and foot pump
• 14 gallon freshwater capacity
• 7 gallon grey water capacity
• Propane powered water heater for exterior shower setup
• Edgestar chest style refrigerator/freezer unit
• Diesel air heater with adjustable thermostat. Camp in any weather. The heat is amazing and very fuel efficient!
• Full solar and house battery setup.
• LED interior overhead lights and color changing dimmable LED strip light around interior ceiling.
• Slide out kitchen with stove and cooking utensil storage.
• Flip up cutting board on door behind stove.
• Flip up utility/camp table in van side door. Great for prepping and holding meals. Spice rack in door behind the table.
• Bed platform has 2 position folding back for lounging/reading. Built in shoe rack holds several pairs of shoes. Top is hinged to allow access to large storage area underneath. Underneath area can also be accessed with the bed down via the access doors. Slide out kitchen can also be accessed that way in case rear doors are blocked by bike rack or it's raining/cold out. Plenty of room inside for the stove setup.
• Overhead storage cabinet holds plenty of food, dishes, towels, etc.
• Rear overhead closet space has ample room for clothing/beach towels.
• Countertop has a hinged lid with huge open storage area underneath. It is also the access to the house electrical panel and house batteries.
• Built in hidden trash can in the countertop.
• Massive storage area over the front seats. Great for holding backpacks, bike helmets, blankets and pillows.
• Bungee netting, book rack and several pockets in ceiling area for holding misc things. No wasted space makes for organized and comfortable living!
• Custom made brushed aluminum door panels. Matching panels in the front door kick panel area.
• Full pull down/push up window curtains in all windows (except front door windows)
• Blackout curtain to separate driving area and living area.
• Insulated panels for windows for cold weather camping and/or privacy
• Magnetic screens for front door windows for great airflow on warmer days

Stereo/Navigation:

• Sony XAV1000 headunit with Apple CarPlay. Full touchscreen display with GPS, turn by turn nav, text messaging and hands free calling!
• 6 Polk audio 6x9 speakers
• Sound Ordnance amplifer
• All speaker wiring has been replaced with larger gauge premium wire
• Backup camera

This could easily and comfortably be lived in full time.
