Storage: Ample storage under the bed (what we refer to as the “garage”) is accessed via the back doors or hinging down the back of the bench for easy access from the front of the van. All cabinets are custom and handmade. The two overhead cabinets in the kitchen and the two cabinets in the back are complete with shelving as well as hydraulic shocks to keep the doors opened for easy access during use. The kitchen also has a drawer above the fridge and a larger, deeper drawer below the oven for pots, pans, etc. The bench lifts up to access ample storage underneath. The white closet is also for storage and has three built in shelves.
Kitchen includes a 3 burner propane stove and oven. 20 pound propane tank is mounted in “garage”. The butcher block counter top above the stove lifts up to allow for cooking.
Power: Two 100 watt, rooftop solar panels charge the Renogy 200 amp hour battery through a Renogy charge controller. A 2200 watt pure sine wave inverter allows you to push a button to convert DC to AC power which allows you to use the outlet installed in the closet. The electrical system is stored in the “garage”. Battery is also charged from the alternator when driving. Van is also wired for shore power but we have not had to use it due to having plenty of power storage from the battery.
Electrical system powers:
~54 quart cooler style 12 volt refrigerator.
~Water pump for the sink. There are two 7 gallon water tanks under the sink, one for fresh water and the other for gray water. There are also 2 extra fresh 7 gallon tanks stored in ”garage”.
~bedroom and kitchen area overhead lights, each of the two sections on its own dimmer switch
~bedroom reading lights, each with their own usb charging port attached
~two Maxxair roof fans whose speeds can be changed and can suck air either in or out with the push of a button
