We've had great times in this van and will be sad to see her go. We have a brand new baby and don't see ourselves getting enough use out of it in near future. If all goes well we'll be buying another one in a few years when our young'n is a bit older. We did most of the hard work so you can add your own appliances and customize to your needs.
This a 2011 Freightliner with high ceilings (I'm 6'2 and can stand up straight) and 144" wheelbase. There are currently 108K miles on her. We've kept up with all maintenance.
The buildout consists of vinyl plank flooring, insulated walls and ceiling covered neatly with PVC sheeting for the walls and cedar planks up top. Queen sized foam mattress sits on a plywood platform that can be easily removed.
There are LED lights, 110v outlets, dimmer switches, USB ports, and a reading lamp over the bed. We had planned on adding a galley this summer, so it's wired and ready for a water pump, if you choose to add a galley with a sink.
Here are a few more features this van includes installed by Overland Van Project:
Maxxair fan 6200 with smoke lid
Wired for appliances and lighting
Voltage sensitive relay for alternator charging
Shore power trickle charger installed in electrical system
120 amp hour lithium battery bank
2000W pure sine wave inverter
VanTech Roof bars (we used these for surfboards)
Flatline side ladder
BFG K02 tires
Smoke free
Body is in great shape considering it's age
